Al-Khobar Photobook
The spaces we occupy are always in transition, as are we.
Change happens gradually, but it also happens rapidly. This photobook documents the streets
of Al-Khobar in Saudi Arabia, which have remained more or less the same over decades.
However, some shops that have been around for over 30 years are now disappearing. The photobook
aims to document the changing structure of the city, and documenting the old architecture
and shops that have shaped the urban landscape in the context of the contemporary before they
become of the past.

Hiwarat (Dialogues)
Dialogue is a form of discussion aimed at fostering a common purpose and cultivating a sense of understanding; although this may be easier said than done. The process of having a dialogues involves listening with empathy, communicating with openness, and bringing new ideas to light. Dialogues are not always clear; they can be chaotic, complex, but they can also be fruitful. This series of posters, designed for Typography Day 2020, uses typography as a mirror of words and an echo of verbal communication through representing the word "dialogues" in Arabic [حوارات] vis-a-vis an exploration of colors, layering, overlapping, intersecting, and immersion to represent the different impressions one may encounter through dialogues, visually.
