Al-Khobar Photobook
The spaces we occupy are always in transition, as are we.
Change happens gradually, but it also happens rapidly. This photobook documents the streets
of Al-Khobar in Saudi Arabia, which have remained more or less the same over decades.
However, some shops that have been around for over 30 years are now disappearing. The photobook
aims to document the changing structure of the city, and documenting the old architecture
and shops that have shaped the urban landscape in the context of the contemporary before they
become of the past.

Khartoum Market
Khartoum (Arabic: الخرطوم), the capital of Sudan, is comprised of three distinct cities (Khartoum, Khartoum North or Bahri, and Omdurman) which are divided by the Nile and its two arms.
Markets in Khartoum are places where one can find a variety of interactions happening between sellers, customers, and people in their everyday environments. The markets are vast and spread over several locations in the city. The watercolor paintings in this series document the fluidity of movement within various street markets in this vibrant city.
